Guide to defeating Cipher Admin Venus in Pokémon Colosseum, snagging the Shadow Pokémon Suicune, and obtaining the R-Disk to progress.

Alright, you're in the city and it's time to start stocking up! First off, head to the vending machine in the lower-left part of town. Seriously, buy a ton of Lemonade – like, two dozen. They're way more cost-effective than Super Potions, giving you 30 more HP for half the price. Your wallet will thank you!

The Pokémon Mart is also your friend here. You'll find Hyper Potions (P$ 1,200), Max Potions (P$ 2,500), Full Restores (P$ 3,000), Revives (P$ 1,500), and Full Heals (P$ 600). For TMs, they've got a good selection: 10, 16, 17, 20, and 33 for P$ 3,000 each; 14, 25, and 38 for P$ 5,500; and TM15 for a hefty P$ 7,500. Here's a quick rundown of the TMs available:

  • Hidden Power — POWER/Var, HIT %/100, TYPE/Varies, SPCL/Pow&Type depend on IVs
  • Blizzard — POWER/120, HIT %/70, TYPE/Ice, SPCL/Hits/FRZ both targets
  • Hyper Beam — POWER/150, HIT %/90, TYPE/Normal, SPCL/Can't act next turn
  • Light Screen — POWER/---, HIT %/---, TYPE/Psychic, SPCL/Cuts Specials by 1/2
  • Protect — POWER/---, HIT %/100, TYPE/Normal, SPCL/Negates all damage
  • Safeguard — POWER/---, HIT %/100, TYPE/Normal, SPCL/Can't receive statuses
  • Thunder — POWER/120, HIT %/70, TYPE/Electric, SPCL/Never misses in rain
  • Reflect — POWER/---, HIT %/100, TYPE/Psychic, SPCL/Cuts Physicals by 1/2
  • Fire Blast — POWER/120, HIT %/85, TYPE/Fire, SPCL/Burns foe 30% of hits

You'll run into a couple of trainers who want to test your team. First up is Hunter Zada:

MoneyP$ 560
OpponentsSkitty Lv35 (Exp: 243), Oddish Lv34 (Exp: 283), Jigglypuff Lv35 (Exp: 285), Shuppet Lv35 (Exp: 363)

Let Entei handle these guys; it could use the experience!

Next, you'll face Chaser Gurks:

TrainerChaser Gurks
MoneyP$ 800
OpponentsMagikarp Lv38 (Exp: 76), Feebas Lv38 (Exp: 234), Wailord Lv40 (Exp: 882)

Be strategic with Entei here. If you use it, try Sunny Day first to reduce the impact of Wailord's water attacks. Magikarp is a pushover, so don't worry too much about that one.

Head over to the hotel. Directly to its left, you'll find a chest containing 3 Hyper Potions. Don't bother staying at the hotel; you'll get healed soon enough. On the second floor of the hotel, you'll see another FMV with Venus. Use the 2F exit, go next door, and head down the stairs. You'll find a kid who tells you Venus's propaganda is messing with Kids Grid. He'll give you the Powerup Part to deliver to Nett. His house is on the far left, near an antenna.

Go inside Nett's house and head downstairs. Find Nett (he's usually working on a computer in a back room) and give him the Powerup Part. After that, you'll see an FMV with Ein and Venus, showing Cipher is getting worried about your progress. Nett will then ask for your P*DA number. Give it to him and head out. It's a good idea to save and heal at The Under Colosseum using the F-Disk.
