Alright, so you've run into a Level 29 Machop, and it's a Fighting-type. These guys can hit pretty hard, but don't worry, we've got a plan!

Walkthrough
  1. 1
After you snag that Furret, Cail will chat with you about Miror B. and his Shadow Pokémon.
  2. 2
Get ready for a cutscene where Miror B., Nascour, and their peons Reath and Ferma discuss their Shadow Pokémon Plan.
  3. 3
Head north from Pyrite Town, past Duel Square, heading towards the Colosseum. You'll spot a big windmill.
  4. 4
As you approach the windmill, a scientist will come out and then collapse. Go inside the windmill and talk to the folks there.
  5. 5
Turns out, Silva swiped a crucial Gear that powers the windmill! Your mission? Get it back. Remember that Construction Lot you saw earlier that seemed to have no purpose? Well, here's its big moment! Head over to the Construction Lot.
  6. 6
Once you're at the Construction Lot, look for a shining Gear in the top right corner. Grab it!
  7. 7
Now, make your way back to Pyrite Town.
  8. 8
Return to the windmill and put the Gear back where it belongs. Duking will show up, impressed by your heroics, and he'll encourage you to try the Colosseum challenge.
  9. 9
Before you do that, though, swing by the Police Station. You'll find the Jail Key on Chief Sherles' desk. Use it to open up all the cells. Inside one of them, you'll find TM 46-Thief!
  10. 10
Finally, head up to the Colosseum and enter the knockout challenge. You'll battle four trainers back-to-back. Don't stress too much, your Pokémon will get healed between matches. This is also a great chance to bring some Shadow Pokémon along to help Purify them.
Tips
  • When fighting Machop, using a move like Confusion is a good bet.
  • For Furret, Noctowl's Hypnosis is your best friend. It'll help you avoid taking too much damage from its Shadow Rush.
  • Don't be too aggressive with Furret; you want to weaken it enough to capture, but not so much that it faints or takes excessive recoil damage.
  • The Colosseum challenge is a good way to train your team and Purify Shadow Pokémon.
