Your guide to catching and using Beautifly in Pokémon Colosseum. Learn its strengths, weaknesses, and best strategies to make this Bug/Flying type a valuable addition to your team.
Beautifly (Bug/Flying)
Beautifly is a pretty Pokémon you can snag early on in Pokémon Colosseum. It's a Bug/Flying type, which means it's going to be weak to Rock, Electric, Ice, and Flying attacks, but resist Fighting, Grass, and Bug moves. You'll want to be careful when facing opponents with those super-effective types!
Beautifly's stats lean towards Special Attack and Speed, making it a decent offensive threat, especially early in the game. However, it's quite frail, so you'll need to protect it from heavy hits. Its abilities can be either Swarm (powers up Bug moves when HP is low) or Shield Dust (prevents added effects of moves). Shield Dust is generally more useful for keeping Beautifly safe from status conditions.
You can find Beautifly's pre-evolution, Wurmple, in the Outskirt Stand area of the Agate Village. Once you catch a Wurmple, you'll need to level it up to evolve it into Silcoon (at Lv. 7) and then evolve that into Beautifly (at Lv. 10). Keep in mind that Wurmple evolves into Silcoon or Cascoon randomly, so you might need to catch a few to get the Silcoon you want!
Recommended Moves
- Gust (Bug/Flying): A reliable Flying-type STAB move.
- Stun Spore (Bug): Paralyzes the opponent, slowing them down and giving you an advantage.
- Silver Wind (Bug/Flying): A Bug-type STAB move that can also boost all of Beautifly's stats.
- Morning Sun (Normal): For some much-needed HP recovery.
Beautifly can be a fun and useful Pokémon, especially if you train it well and use it strategically. Just remember to watch out for those Rock and Electric attacks!
