Alright, so you've run into Rhyhorn, a Level 27 Ground/Rock-type Pokémon. It's part of a tough pair, but Rhyhorn is the one you'll want to focus on first because it's generally tougher. Don't overthink it – just hit it with Confusion and Bite. You've got this!

Once you've snagged that victory, Justy will hook you up with a White Herb. This is a neat Hold Item that'll restore any stat that gets lowered, which is super handy. Just a heads-up though, Justy won't actually battle you until you've got a full team of six Pokémon. Honestly, you'd get wiped out right now anyway, so don't sweat it. After that, just head out of the Pre Gym.

After those Pre Gym battles, it's always a good idea to pop back to the Pokémon Center to heal up your team and save your progress. You know, the usual drill.

Now, let's make a quick trip to the local Poké Mart. You'll find it right in Phenac City.

PHENAC POKé MART

When you're at the Mart, I'd recommend grabbing a few Super Potions – they're a solid investment. As for selling items, you can probably offload those Parlyz Heals, Awakenings, Ice Heals, and Burn Heals. Full Heals and Antidotes might still be worth keeping around for a bit.

Once you're done shopping, just exit the Poké Mart. You'll find an item box to the west of the Mart containing 3 Super Potions. Grab those!

Next up, head over to the Mayor's house. It's located to the left of the Pre Gym. Just as you're about to walk in, you'll see a shady character named Nascour leaving. He'll make a comment about meeting again. After that, go ahead and enter the Mayor's house. The Mayor will introduce himself as Es Cade. Have a chat with him, and then make your way all the way up, past the Pre Gym, to the Stadium.

Go talk to the receptionist there. She'll let you know that the current tournament has already kicked off. Time to head out, and you'll trigger a cutscene involving Team Snagem. One of their members will challenge you to a battle.
