    From the start, defeat the gunman to find a [_BIG CHEST_]. Head back and take the doorway on the left (red hue).

    A Ninja will attack in the tunnel, followed by a Mage when the area opens up. Kill them and proceed to a ladder.

    Below are four enemies; you can headshot (a shot that lands on the enemy's head, usually an instant kill) them before descending. A soldier on the right cliff may attack, guarding a [_BIG CHEST_].

    Head left from the ladder; a paper yokai may turn into an Oni. Defeat it and explore the left path to find a [_CORPSE_] and a Mage.

    Continue around to the far corner to kill another gunman. Destroy the junk by the slope to find an [_ORACLE KODAMA_] and guide it home.

    Approach the mist to fight an Oni. After defeating it, head right from the door ahead and kill the paper yokai in the corner.

    Climb the ladder to ambush a gunsman. You can also snipe a paper yokai from this ledge (note the one below, but leave it for now).

    Return to the ledge where you descended. There is a [_CHEST_] up here. To the left is a door; go through it and kill the Skeleton Warrior.

    In the back, head right for a [_HEALER KODAMA_] and left for an Onmyo Mage and a [_CORPSE_].

    Further ahead is "The Pit". You can snipe an Archer here. Head back when done.

    Return to where you ambushed the gunman and drop-attack the paper yokai below to access the [_BIG CHEST_].

    On your way out, the door to the right contains two Mages; kill them for a [_CHEST_] and continue.

    The pathway to the right has an Oni in the mist. Defeat it to find a SHRINE behind it.

    Head back to the open area (enemies do not respawn (be brought back to life at a checkpoint after death)). Defeat the gunmen again and enter the BIG doors.

    Follow the path down and open doors to find mist. Before attacking the mist, kill the two Mages and a gunman to the right. Loot the [_CORPSE_] in the area.

    By the lantern is a [_WARRIOR KODAMA_]; guide it home. In the back is a [_BIG CHEST_], but the door is locked.

    Head to the other side of the area for a SHRINE. This door is also locked, but there is a path downward.

    You will face four POISON ROCKS and an Onryoki. Power up yourself and your weapon, defeat the rocks first, then the Onryoki.

    After the Onryoki is dead, loot the [_CORPSE x3_] in the area and guide the [_HUNTER KODAMA_] home, the last one for this mission.

    Heal at the Shrine and enter the front doors for the boss rematch.

Boss Encounter: Saika Magoichi

This fight is similar to a previous encounter but without the fire in the arena.

Tips
  • Saika Magoichi attacks with a rifle from range and uses his wings to fly, shoot bombs, or disappear and reappear nearby.
  • Be wary of his grab attack, which is his strongest and can kill you if you are below 50% health.
  • Try to stay close to Saika Magoichi, get hits in when possible, and guard when you cannot.
  • Always punish him when he lands. Strong attacks are effective here.
  • Keep your health up at all times.
