    The chapter begins with a fight against an Angry Titan (A36). Use cover and a Longshot to make this battle easier. A Locust may try to flank you; shotgun it if it leaves its post.

    The main event of this chapter is a boss fight against the Corpser. After defeating it, proceed through the area towards where Cole and Baird appeared. The path will seal behind you, leading to a checkpoint and the next chapter.

    The Corpser tries to crush you by stomping. Wait by a leg, and when it raises it, run away. Shoot its stomach.

    After being hit, the Corpser will scream and raise its head. Shoot its neck.

    Repeat this process three times. The Corpser will back up onto a platform.

    Locate and shoot the two small hedges on either side of the platform to break them.

    The Corpser will fall into the Immulsion, completing the objective. This grants an Achievement on Hardcore or Insane difficulties.

    Proceed forward and you will find the Torque Bow. It is advised against picking it up for single-player, but you may if you wish.

    Follow the path. Marcus will suggest heading straight into the pumping station with Dom, while Cole and Baird flank right. It is advised to take the right path instead.

    Keep walking down the right path until Dom hears a strange sound. Take cover at a chipped L-shaped wall and use your Longshot to snipe enemies when Marcus says, "Let's clear that station!" This is easier than the direct approach. On Casual difficulty, the left path is also an option. The Longshot is essential for this strategy on harder difficulties.

    Once all enemies are cleared, head towards Cole and Baird's position and go up the ramp.

    Slowly advance around the platform, eliminating all enemies.

    Head down the ramp and continue straight. Look for a green button on the right side to press.

INSANE NOTES:

  • For the Corpser fight, beat it quickly to prevent Wretches from appearing.
  • For the segment after the Corpser, the Longshot is highly recommended. Without it, you must enter directly and carefully eliminate enemies. Theron Guards with Torque Bows are a significant threat; stay in cover if you hear a Torque Bow charging.

Act 4 (A4) - Ashes Overview (A41)

Your objective is to go to Marcus's house. Theron Guards are prevalent in this chapter and are easier to fight but still dangerous. Be prepared for a Berserker and a difficult encounter at Marcus's house.

Act 4 (A4) - Campus Grinder (A42)

Immediately head up and left to take cover. Use the Longshot to eliminate as many enemies as possible.
