Walkthrough
  1. 1
Proceed through the hall, taking cover as Wretches emerge from a door. Shotgun them and move through the door.
  2. 2
Head across the room; an ammo box is to the right. Continue outside.
  3. 3
Immediately turn around the wall to find Cog Tag (CT18).
  4. 4
To advance, shoot the propane tank in the car, causing it to roll down the hill. Run alongside it to complete the chapter. Alternatively, stand in front of the rolling tank for a ride down.
  5. 5
Powder Keg (A27): Go to the gas station and wait for the attendant. Spin the wheel at the indicated spot until the Junker is full and ammo is available. Collect the Longshot, grenades, and ammo boxes if desired.
  6. 6
    Combat Strategy (Powder Keg):
    • Shotgun/Longshot: Take cover in the gas shack doorway and snipe enemies with the Longshot. Use the shotgun for any that get close. A Boomer and Wretches will appear to the right; shotgun the Wretches, then use the shotgun against the Boomer. Take cover behind a small wall to snipe remaining Locusts, using the shotgun for close threats. The attendant's magnum can be helpful.
  7. 7
Shotgun/Lancer: Take cover behind a small wall in front of where Locusts hide and pick them off with the Lancer. Use the shotgun for close enemies. A Boomer and Wretches appear to the right; shotgun the Wretches while avoiding the Boomer's Boomshot. Take cover to snipe remaining Locusts with the Lancer, or use the shotgun on Casual.
  8. 8
Burnt Rubber (A28): This is a driving chapter. Navigate the highway and downhill sections.
Tips
  • On Insane difficulty, be cautious of the Wretches and avoid the first room where the Stranded might prank you.
  • The hidden propane tank section is not required and can be dangerous due to Kryll.
  • For Powder Keg on Insane, using the Longshot is highly recommended for the initial encounters.
  • The attendant in Powder Keg can be a useful ally.
  • Collect any desired ammo before the cutscene that ends the Powder Keg chapter.
