Walkthrough

    Leave the initial area and reach the checkpoint (an auto-save point you restart from on death).

    Head forward, around the bend with your shotgun ready. Wait for a Wretch to enter, blast it, then exit.

    Take cover behind the small wall to the right of the door across from your entry point. Use the Longshot to eliminate all enemies.

    Collect grenades from the door to the left of the small wall.

    After eliminating enemies, a propane tank will explode, and Locusts will emerge. Use your shotgun if close, or the Longshot from a distance.

    Proceed around the next bend.

    Outside, take cover behind the ruined car. Press X rapidly to push the car as far as it will go.

    Exit the car and roadie run towards the enemy hiding behind the small wall, using your shotgun.

    Go down the alleyway and through the door. Proceed through the building.

    When you reach the door you can kick open, if you have the Longshot, snipe the two Locusts outside before exiting. If not, use standard combat tactics.

    From the left of the small wall Dom hides behind, go through the archway and duck behind the first small wall.

    If you have the Longshot, snipe the moving targets. If not, use your pistol until ammo is depleted, then switch to the Lancer. On Hardcore or Insane, use the Lancer and aim for enemies.

    After clearing the area, pick up the ammo box behind you.

    Shoot the dresser in front of the small wall, then shoot the propane tank behind it.

    Move to where the Locusts appeared and head down the street, shooting propane tanks. The first is in the darkness, to the left of a mailbox, behind rubble.

    Reach the small wall and wait for the Point of Interest icon for the spotlight.

    Head inside the building and man the spotlight at the top, controlling it similarly to a Troika. Keep the spotlight on Dom as he crosses the area.

    When Dom reaches the other side, equip your shotgun and head outside. Kill the two Wretches encountered.

    Head right towards Dom and kill any remaining enemies.

    To the left of the burnt-out car is a doorway. Enter and take the right door.

    Run to the window, shoot the propane tank, switch to your shotgun, hop out, kill nearby enemies, and take cover behind the small wall.

    Quickly kill any enemies running towards you and throw a grenade into the hole.

    Snipe the remaining enemies and move down the street, shooting the propane tank as you go, until the cutscene (a non-interactive cinematic the game plays automatically) ending the chapter.

    In the Dark Labyrinth (A26), pick up the two large ammo boxes to your left and right (or one per person in co-op).

    Head through the door and make a left where the light flickers.

    On Casual, you can proceed into the door where the light will come on. On Insane, stay back until the light stays on.

    Head through this room and into the opposite hallway.

    Get your shotgun ready. About halfway down the hallway, three Wretches will attack. Shotgun them and enter the room they emerged from.

    If you have the Lancer, chainsaw the cabinet to proceed. If you have the Shotgun/Longshot combo, use a few shots on the cabinet.
Tips
  • The Longshot is highly recommended for making the game more manageable, especially on higher difficulties.
  • On Insane mode, allow your health to regenerate before engaging further.
  • Blind-throw a grenade around the small wall when exiting the window on Insane mode, aiming for the hole.
  • To find the Cog Tag (CT17), point the spotlight slightly right of the small wall Dom started near before the spotlight segment. Then, head left instead of right towards Dom after the segment.
  • Listen to Anya for guidance.
  • When dealing with the Wretches, use your shotgun.
  • When enemies emerge from a room, use your shotgun.
  • Use cover frequently behind walls and cars.
  • Roadie run to quickly close distances or evade fire.
  • Shoot propane tanks whenever possible for area-of-effect damage.
  • On lower difficulties, use your pistol until empty, then switch to the Lancer.
