The Materia system in Final Fantasy VII Remake is a core mechanic that allows players to customize their characters' abilities and stats. By equipping Materia orbs into weapon and armor slots, players can cast spells, use special abilities, and gain passive bonuses.

Materia Types:

• Green Materia: Grants new magic spells (e.g., Fire, Blizzard, Thunder, Cure).
• Blue Materia: Grants new abilities that can be used in combat (e.g., Assess, Throw, Steal).
• Red Materia: Grants command abilities that are often more powerful or unique than those from blue Materia.
• Yellow Materia: Grants support abilities that modify or enhance other Materia (e.g., Elemental, ATB Boost).
• Purple Materia: Grants independent abilities that do not rely on other Materia or slots.
• Whtie Materia: Grants unique, often powerful, passive effects or summons.

How Materia Works:

1. Equipping: Materia is equipped into Materia slots found on weapons and armor. Some slots are linked, meaning the Materia in one slot affects the Materia in the linked slot.
2. Leveling Up: Materia gains experience as you fight battles. As Materia levels up, its effects become stronger, or new spells/abilities are unlocked.
3. AP (Ability Points): Each piece of Materia has its own AP. Once a Materia reaches maximum AP, it levels up.
4. Combinations: Linking Materia can create powerful synergies. For example, linking an Elemental Materia (Yellow) to a weapon's attack Materia (e.g., Fire) will add that element's damage to your physical attacks.
