Complete walkthrough for Chapter 4: Mad Dash in Final Fantasy VII Remake. Learn how to defeat Roche, earn the Biker Boy Trophy, and get the My First Summon Trophy.
Walkthrough
- 1The chapter begins with a motorcycle battle. If you maintain high health (75-80%), you can earn the Biker Boy Trophy. It's recommended to attempt this trophy in Easy Mode, either now or via Chapter Selection postgame.
- 2Earning the Biker Boy Trophy:
- Play on Easy Mode.
- 3Utilize Special Attacks (Triangle button) for Spin Attacks and long-range shots (L1 to Lock On, then Triangle).
- 4Special Attacks charge over time via a meter in the lower left. Don't conserve them, especially against Roche; use them whenever the meter fills.
- 5Jumping over ramps in the road completely fills the Special Attack meter.
- 6Ignore the two enemies that appear before Roche; they will disappear on their own.
- 7Focus on defense: dodge Roche's energy blasts and lightning attacks. Hitting L2 slows down time, aiding evasion.
- 8When possible, get beside Roche and use Circle or Square attacks.
- 9Objective: Annex Infiltration
- Skip the Training Center for slow EXP and AP gains.
- 10Use the Bench to restore HP and MP.
- 11Objective: A Little Diversion
- Equip the Summon given by Jessie.
- 12Use the Summon in battle to earn the My First Summon Trophy.
- 13After squeezing through a doorway, you'll face waves of enemies. Heal yourself as needed.
- 14The chapter culminates in a one-on-one boss fight against Roche.
Boss Fight -- Roche
Roche will heal your HP and MP at the start of the fight. The key to defeating him easily is to Parry his attacks.
Tips
- Cloud is your only playable character for most of this chapter, so manage his health carefully.
- While there are no direct Trophy items in this chapter, you can find good Materia.
- The Summon Materia provides small stat boosts to the character who equips it. For example, Leviathan Materia grants +4% MP, +4 ATK, +2 MATK, +2 Spirit, and +2 Vit.
