Far Cry 2 Part 7 guide: Learn how to find briefcases, purchase new weapons like the M1903 and PKM, and prepare for the Leboa-Seka convoy missions.

This section of the walkthrough covers acquiring briefcases and new weapons in the Pala area, and preparing for the Leboa-Seka convoy missions in Far Cry 2.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Briefcase 1 (Garage): Approach the garage from the rear. Grab the briefcase and sprint back to your vehicle. Drive far enough toward Mike's to clear the alert.
  2. 2
Briefcase 2 (Building): Drive back into town and park on the northwest side near the second "forbidden zone." Crouch and go through the hole in the wall to enter the building to your right. The briefcase is on a table to the left of the entrance. If detected, shoot if necessary, get to your vehicle, and drive out of town to clear the alert.
  3. 3
Briefcase 3 (Rock Formation): Drive out of Pala on the northeast road, crossing the bridge. On your map, locate a rock formation resembling an open-ended wrench. Walk west from the road; your flasher will activate. The briefcase is near a derelict car.
  4. 4
Briefcase 4 (Boulders): Travel southwest out of Pala, past the bus station, and over the bridge. Park when you see a parked white car. Walk north between the rock formations, toward the river. Your locator will flash, and you will find a briefcase among a pile of small boulders.
  5. 5
New Weapons & First Convoy: Drive back to the weapon shop near Mike's Bar and interact with the computer. Three new weapons are available: the M1903 sniper rifle, the PKM machine gun, and IEDs. Purchase the IEDs for 10 diamonds. Turn left to accept your first convoy mission from the arms dealer behind the mesh. Go to the armory next door and take the IEDs from the wall. Visit the explosive and ammo piles to top-off your ordnance. Refer to "CONVOY MISSIONS: LEBOA-SEKA" for mission details.

Notes on Convoy Missions:

  • This walkthrough prioritizes the four Leboa-Seka convoy missions to acquire necessary weapons and diamonds.
  • Not all diamond briefcases are listed; focus is on easily acquired ones. A separate "Diamond Guide" is recommended for collecting all diamonds.
  • Completing convoy missions allows for exploration, use of bus stations, and familiarization with the game world before tackling more challenging missions.
  • Consider acquiring the MGL-140 grenade launcher for free at the safe house near the east weapon shop, especially for higher difficulties. Detailed instructions for reaching this safe house are provided.
  • Convoy missions can only be taken when a main mission is not in progress but can be completed consecutively.
  • The locations of convoys are random, but the weapons unlocked are fixed. The unlocking order for weapons is provided for four convoys.
  • When ambushing a convoy, set up your ambush when the convoy is out of sight to avoid aggressive defense.
  • When planting IEDs, after planting the first, use the left trigger to switch from the detonator to another IED device.

Weapon Purchase Plan:

  • Your first purchase should be the Homeland shotgun during the tutorial. The "PALA AREA DIAMONDS" section will provide enough diamonds to purchase IEDs.
