    Stock your spare weapons and take the 50-caliber truck acquired at the airport.

    Head west toward the prison, destroying the inevitable white car.

    You can either run the gauntlet of assault trucks and guard posts or sneak your way to the prison.

    To fight: Wipe out the first guard post and wait for an assault truck to investigate. Another assault truck will attack nearer the prison. The mountaintop guard post will also fire on you if you don't navigate the winding road cleanly.

    To sneak: Eliminate the patrol car and continue west. When the game map changes to the south sector, take to the undergrowth on its south side, staying close to the mountainside. As you approach the road going southwest, stay under cover (press the cover button to crouch behind walls or objects) until the assault truck goes south. Sprint south after it and get into the large area of undergrowth on your left. If the truck is stopped on the road south of the guard post, be prepared.

    Continue west, staying near the mountain until you must take the road through a canyon when you veer southwest. Sprint up the road and get into the undergrowth on the east side. An assault truck patrols this area.

    Continue south and sprint across the road below the makeshift mountaintop guard post (indicated by a black glob on your minimap (the small circular map in the bottom-left corner of your screen)) to reach the west side of the roadway. Stay near the west mountainside to get to the steep road going to the prison. The makeshift guard post rarely notices your passage.

    Enter the prison grounds and meet the Jackal. Replenish any ammo and syrettes.

    The Jackal asks you to obtain the diamond case from an arms merchant and kill the two remaining commanders of the united factions before meeting him near the border.

    Move east on foot into the wilderness beyond the prison, following the undergrowth of a canyon.

    Approach the remote enemy encampment "The Heart Of Darkness" located in a depressed area.

    Take a sniping position on the camp's southwest side in the undergrowth. Use the dart rifle to take down the approximately ten hostiles.

    Switch to the AS50 sniper rifle and move onto a rock ledge to continue sniping. Use a grenade or Molotovs to flush out anyone hiding before jumping down on the south end to cautiously move past the camp. Be aware of stragglers who may retreat east.

    Continue east to the safe house near the swamp to restock ammo and health items. Save your game.

    As you approach the swamp from the east, stay on the higher ground on the south side. Use the dart rifle to take out the first two hostiles in the undergrowth. The third will be farther east but will come into range as you move eastward.

    Stay along the mountain on the south side of the swamp and cross to the north side near the waterfall.

    When the swamp widens, you will see an enemy camp ahead. Thin their ranks with the dart rifle, then switch to the AS50 sniper rifle when the ten or so militia take note of your presence.

    Pick your shots as they duck in and out of cover. Move in with your Uzi, staying on the east side where the banks are walkable, if one gets bold enough to come to you.

Tips
  • This is your final trip to a weapon shop, so max out upgrades for available weapons and buy any usable ammo upgrades.
  • Daylight can help in finding your way through the final stages of the game, but it doesn’t strictly matter for this mission.
  • The 50-caliber turret gun acquired at the airport provides significant firepower.
  • The minimap (a small map displayed on your HUD (heads-up display — the on-screen icons showing health, ammo and the minimap), showing your immediate surroundings and objectives) is crucial for navigation, especially when sneaking.
