Complete Far Cry 2 Part 26 by destroying a tanker and assassinating a UFLL official. Includes stealth tactics, weapon choices, and route planning.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Destroy Tanker Mission: Take the dirt path over the mountain. At the crest, climb the rocky outcropping to the left for an elevated view of the compound. Use your monocular to spot the whitish tanker at the far end, partially obscured by a blue railcar. Target it with the grenade launcher (elevate the barrel) or a rocket launcher to complete the mission. Escape the area before pursuit arrives.
  2. 2
Subverted Mission: Kill the UFLL official at the cattle ranch.
    • Weapons: Shotgun or assault rifle, grenade launcher, (dart rifle).
  3. 3
    Time: Night is preferred.
  4. 4
    Payment: 15 diamonds.
  5. 5
    Origin: APR headquarters in Pala.
  6. 6
Subverted Origin: The safe house near the weapon shop in the northwest Sector.
  7. 7
Route to Cattle Ranch: Take the bus to the northwest bus station, then the dune buggy southwest. Stop at the safe house to advance time to night if needed. Continue south on foot through the pass behind the safe house, downhill across the valley toward the safe house opposite the Cattle King ranch. Climb the slope and continue south on the hillside, staying west of the elevated safe house to bypass the valley guard post.
  8. 8
Valley Diamonds: If you haven’t harvested the 2 diamonds in the valley shack, take out its defenders with the dart rifle if you have a clear shot. Descend to get the diamonds. Be aware of one combatant patrolling the dirt path southwest toward a sniper’s platform.
  9. 9
Sniper Platform: After getting diamonds (if applicable), return to the east hillside and work southwest to the mountainside. Climb the grassy slope at the edge of the shoe-shaped mountain to reach the sniper’s platform north of it.
  10. 10
Eliminate Snipers: Take out the sniper on or near the platform with the dart rifle. Search for an additional sentry patrolling the dirt path connecting the valley camp and the sniper’s platform area. If noise is made, a patrol car will alert the nearby guard post to the west. Replenish darts on the platform and take the Jackal Tape.
  11. 11
Continue West: Continue west, staying near the mountainside, paralleling the dirt path. Watch for the aforementioned patrol if you haven’t dealt with him. At the mountain's edge, you'll see a guard post below and a sniper on the north cliff overlooking it. Take out the sniper with the dart rifle, then descend and move south, staying close to the rock face to bypass the guard post.
  12. 12
Approach Rail Yard: A break in the mountain east of the rail yard is visible on your map. A dirt path there allows easy access from the east slope. Remember its location. Continue south toward the briefing location, being wary of a patrol car at the intersection and roadway going east.
  13. 13
Post-Briefing: After the mission briefing, replenish darts if the safe house has an ammo pile, or go south to the weapon shop for a new dart rifle. Return north, eliminate the re-spawned sniper overlooking the guard post, and continue north past the guard post. Veer east up the slope, retracing your inbound route, staying close to the northern edge of the shoe-like mountain. Kill the re-spawned sniper on or near the platform again. Replenish darts and be aware of the patrolling guard.
  14. 14
Approach Lake: Continue north, staying on the hillside east of the valley camp and away from the safe house. Head northeast around the mountain toward the lake north of the Cattle King Ranch. Stay high on the slope and look for a lone sentry near the fire pit on the southeast side of the lake, by the lean-to. Take him out with the dart rifle. Small ammo and incendiary packs are under the lean-to.
  15. 15
Ranch Infiltration: Descend and turn south toward the objective at the ranch. Advance to the large baobab tree and crouch in the grass to survey the rear of the buildings. Patrols will move in and out. Let them move off or use the dart rifle on a lone hostile. Sneak to the building and enter the breezeway to get a bead on the target. A silent shot is recommended. If all is silent, re-stock at the ammo pile on the walkway before returning toward the lake.
  16. 16
Return and Final Objective: Retrace your inbound route. The valley camp, the sniper on the platform, and the sniper overlooking the guard post will have re-spawned. Use the dart rifle to eliminate both snipers again. You have a choice for the final objective: use the grenade launcher (elevate barrel) or return to the weapon shop for a rocket launcher.
  17. 17
Final Approach: Move up the dirt path east of the rail yard. As you near the end, having crested the hill, climb the rocky outcropping to the left for an elevated view of the compound. Use your monocular to locate the small whitish tanker on the west end, partially obscured by a blue railcar. Target it with the grenade launcher or rocket launcher to complete the mission. Escape the area before pursuit develops.
Tips
  • The dart rifle is highly effective for silent takedowns, especially against snipers and lone sentries.
  • Nighttime offers better stealth opportunities for the cattle ranch objective.
  • Be aware of re-spawning enemies and patrol cars, especially when re-tracing your steps.
  • Elevating the grenade launcher barrel is crucial for hitting targets like the tanker that are below your line of sight.
  • 15 diamonds for completing the subverted mission.
