Part 16

Objective: Steal the defoliant formula from Claes Chemical.

Recommended Weapons: Shotgun or assault rifle, grenade launcher, dart rifle.

Time: Night is preferred.

Steps: Make your way to the southwest bus station. Take a car and drive east, past the safe house, following the tracks north. Park south of the chemical facility and infiltrate from the west, using the depressed area to stay off the skyline. Use a boxcar to scout the area. Find the hole in the fence. If a sentry is visible, wait for him to move or take him out with the dart rifle. Move through the hole and be prepared for guards inside. The facility has eight patrolling hostiles, often spread out. Turn left into the building, check around the corner to the right for an open doorway, and quickly grab the document. Reverse course to exit. Sprint away if detected. Return to Mike's Bar to report to Paul.

Objective: Retrieve Quarbani's personal items from the Oasis.

Recommended Weapons: Shotgun, grenade launcher, dart rifle.

Time: Doesn't matter.

Steps: From the southeast bus station, drive east briefly to avoid a patrol vehicle, then veer south and east into the desert area north of the objective. Stay in the low area and stash your vehicle behind a large rock outcropping. A lone sentry may patrol the rock formations. Move up the sandy slope toward the largest stark tree. Near it, find a cave entrance masked by a bush. Enter and grab Quarbani's lockbox. Reverse your route and return to Mike's Bar to report to Quarbani.

Objective: Obtain a sample of prototype ammo from the garage near the police station.

Recommended Weapons: Shotgun or assault rifle, grenade launcher, dart rifle.

Time: Night is best but not essential.

Steps: From the southwest bus station, drive west toward the weapon shop and then north along the tracks. Bypass the safe house to the north by driving through dry grasslands west of the tracks. Continue north on the tracks. Stop southwest of the safe house and find a diamond case (3) on the mountainside under a crude canopy. Continue north on the tracks. Park under the tree west of the junction and proceed east on foot. An assault truck patrols the road east of the objective. Crouch in the brush at the garage's entrance road and note sentry positions, propane tank, and explosive barrel. Kill visible hostiles with the dart rifle quickly. If discovered, use the grenade launcher on explosive items or guards. Sprint to the garage, grab the ammo, and exit quickly. Avoid fire spread and reinforcements. Watch for the patrol truck on your return. Drive south, avoiding the guard post near the tracks. Return to Mike's Bar via bus stations to report to Quarbani.

Objective: Destroy the weapon's cache at the ranch house.

Recommended Weapons: Shotgun, IEDs, dart rifle.

Time: Night is best but not essential.

Steps: From the northwest bus station, drive southwest and park at the safe house. Forward time to night. Walk behind the shack and head east toward the lake. Angle towards the southern edge of the lake north of the ranch. A lone sentry patrols the lake area; if spotted, perform a silent kill. Continue south toward the ranch. Upon reaching the large baobab tree, begin a stealthy approach using boulders and scrub for cover. Wait for the perimeter sentry to move away.
