Learn about Etrian Odyssey Nexus difficulty settings, guild creation, and class selection when starting your adventure in Maginia.
Walkthrough
- 1When starting a new game in Etrian Odyssey Nexus, you can select between 4 difficulty settings: Picnic, Basic, Expert, and Heroic.
- 2Picnic offers a 1.5 EXP boost. Expert and Heroic are the hardest difficulties and are essentially the same.
- 3The difficulty can be adjusted anytime in the game. However, if you change the difficulty mid-game, you will no longer be able to select Heroic.
- 4If you change the difficulty to Picnic, you will not be able to switch the difficulty anymore.
- 5The game begins in the Flying City of Maginia. Greet the regal-looking woman, who reveals herself as Persephone Maginias, the leader of the Maginia Expeditionary Force.
- 6You will be prompted to name your guild.
- 7You will then meet Gunther Mueller, a soldier of Maginia, who will serve as your guildmaster.
- 8After speaking with Mueller, you can establish your guild and recruit comrades.
- 9There are 19 available classes in Etrian Odyssey Nexus, a mix of new and returning classes from past Etrian Odyssey games.
- 10You can bring a maximum of 5 party members at a time, allowing for diverse builds and strategies.
- 11After picking your initial characters, you can customize their appearance, including hair color, eye color, skin color, and voice. These settings can be edited later.
- 12Your guild can hold up to 60 comrades.
- 13Arrange your chosen party members by selecting PARTY - Arrange, then assigning 5 members to either the front or back row.
- 14Classes like Hero, Protector, Ronin, Highlander, Shogun, Landsknecht, Imperial, and Pugilist are generally suited for the front row.
- 15Classes like Medic, Survivalist, Gunner, Zodiac, and Arcanist are generally suited for the back row.
- 16Flexible classes such as War Magus, Farmer, Sovereign, Ninja, Nightseeker, and Harbinger can fill either row.
- 17Leave Maginia when you are ready to begin your journey across Lemuria in search of legendary treasures.
Tips
- Choosing Heroic difficulty offers personal satisfaction upon completion.
- Don't spend too much time on initial character customization, as it can be edited later.
- Consider filling your guild roster strategically, perhaps with one or two members from each subclass.
