Guide to Returning to the Catacombs in dragons dogma dark arisen. Find the First and Second Key to Salvation and all five Gems of Salvation.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Head back to the Catacombs via the Deos Hills.
  2. 2
From the entrance, proceed south and turn east to find the elevator to the 'Catacombs: Second Level Underground'.
  3. 3
If you have the 'First Key to Salvation': From the elevator, find a door to the south, which leads down some stairs. Use your key to unlock this door.
  4. 4
If you have the 'Second Key to Salvation': Take the elevator down. Head west into a south/south-west running hallway until you reach a gate. Use your key to unlock it.
  5. 5
Dispatch the Stout Undead that appear beyond the gate.
  6. 6
Continue south until you reach stairs running west.
  7. 7
Head up the stairs to the west, then find more stairs heading up north.
  8. 8
The stairs open into a chamber filled with Skeleton Mages. Defeat them all.
  9. 9
Search the room for sarcophagi and an eastern opening overlooking a lower level.
  10. 10
North of the stairs, find a doorway with the inscription: “’Tis shut tight. The door bears five small hollows…”
  11. 11
    Locate the Gems of Salvation:
    • First Gem of Salvation: In a sarcophagus in the southern-most east/west running tunnel, located in the south-western corner. This tunnel is south of the Skeleton Mage room.
  12. 12
Second Gem of Salvation: In a standing sarcophagus along the eastern wall in the north/south running tunnel east of the Skeleton Mage room.
  13. 13
Third Gem of Salvation: In a sarcophagus accessed via a wooden ramp leading west to an elevated chamber overlooking the Skeleton Mage room.
  14. 14
Fourth Gem of Salvation: In the southern-most sarcophagus found in a tunnel west of the chamber with multiple tunnels, which turns south then west.
  15. 15
Fifth Gem of Salvation: In a sarcophagus north of two Skeletons in a tunnel to the south-east of the chamber with multiple tunnels.
  16. 16
After finding the Fifth Gem, search behind some rocks to the south to find a Giant Coin Pouch (10,000 G).
  17. 17
Return to the door with five small hollows (north of the Skeleton Mage room) and use the five Gems of Salvation to unlock it.
Tips
  • The route taken with the 'First Key to Salvation' or 'Second Key to Salvation' is immaterial as there are no unique treasures or monsters on either path.
  • The 'Second Key to Salvation' approach is cheaper and more sensible if you have the choice.
  • Be prepared to face Skeleton Mages in greater numbers than previously encountered.
  • Watch out for Phantoms and Skeletons in the hallways.
