Complete guide to the 'More Missions in Gran Soren' quests in Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen, including 'More Salvation Suspicions', 'Shes a Witch!', 'Idol Hands', and 'Strong-Arming Salvation'.

There are several side quests available in Gran Soren that can be undertaken after progressing through the main story. These quests offer additional challenges, rewards, and opportunities to interact with the game's NPCs.

More Salvation Suspicions

Exit the castle and speak with Ser Maximilian. He has a personal quest for you regarding Skeletons appearing near the capital and the continued activity of the group known as Salvation. He suspects a connection between the two and knows where Salvation is meeting, but asks you to investigate.

Shes a Witch!

Return to Fountain Square and head north of the fountain. If you completed 'Lost and Found', you'll overhear peasants discussing the hexer in the Witchwood. The Duke has dispatched a search party to find her. Speak with a merchant named Brice, who will share rumors about the witch, which the search party also believes.

Idol Hands

Speak with Caxton at Caxton's Armory. He wants you to acquire an idol for a master weaponsmith so he can do business with him. If you obtain an idol, Caxton will reward you and expand his stock. Afterward, visit Madeleine's shop. She has the same request; giving her an idol will also expand her stock.

You must decide whether to give the idol to Caxton or Madeleine. Mages, Striders, Assassins, Magick Archers, and female characters may benefit more from helping Madeleine, as she offers some of the best armor for female characters and specializes in Daggers, Bows, Staffs, and Magick Bows. Caxton sells superior heavy armor, Swords, Shields, Maces, Archistaffs, Longswords, Warhammers, and Longbows.

Fortunately, you can complete both quests as there are multiple types of idols. You should have found two Bronze Idols and one Gold Idol by this point. The Silver Idol can be obtained from the Pawn Guild Notice Board Quest 'Put the Eye Out'. The quality of the idol you give determines the quality of the merchant's expanded stock. You can give the best idol you have to your preferred merchant.

Attempting to duplicate the Gold Idol with Mountebank for 187,500 gold will result in a forgery that does not work. It is best to give the original Gold and Silver Idols to your chosen merchants.

You have until you complete all of Aldous’ Royal Orders to collect the Silver Idol and make your decision. While getting the gear sooner is beneficial, you may find similar or better items on upcoming quests. However, Madeleine will sell the 'Sultry Cowl' and 'Sultry Pareo' if given a Gold Idol. Merchant stock carries over to subsequent playthroughs.

ObjectiveReward

Strong-Arming Salvation

To advance the 'Rise of the Fallen' quest, investigate the meeting place of Salvation. Head under the middle bridge connecting the Venery to the Urban Quarter, on the Urban Quarter side. This location is above the 'Venery' text on the Area map. Visit at night to find two robed figures.
