    Head out the northern gate of Gran Soren, travel east across the Estan Plains, and follow the road to the Ancient Quarry.

    Upon entering, you'll receive the 'Into the Ancient Quarry' achievement/trophy. Mine any ore veins you find; they are plentiful but don't yield unique items.

    Ignore the Large Rats and head south. When the passage opens, turn east, jump up a ledge, and open a square chest containing a Feather-Light Pelta.

    Follow the eastern wall south to a pressure plate. Stand on it to open a gate.

    Enter the room beyond the gate, defeat the snake, and pick up the 'Quarry Key' from a cut stone to the west. You can also find a Pickaxe here.

    Backtrack north, then turn west to find two paths. The southeast path is a dead end. Take the southern path.

    From the central chamber, the north path leads back to the exit. Explore east to find a dead-end chamber with a snake, Harspud drinks, and a rounded chest containing a Bronze Sallet and an Incognito Mask.

    Backtrack west to the 'Abandoned Mine'. Search the counters for loot: one has fruit and a Coin Pouch (1000 G), the other has a Small Coin Pouch, a Coin Pouch, and a Large Coin Pouch (4600 G).

    An ornate chest in this room contains an Obliteratrix, Reinforced Longbow, and Thousand Stings.

    To the south, use the 'Quarry Key' to open a locked door near a defunct smithy. Both this path and the eastern tunnel eventually link up.
