Walkthrough

    Talk to Ser Maximilian and select the option ‘Hear the Duke’s Directive’.

    You will surrender your Wyrm Hunt License.

    Proceed through the gate into the castle. Pawns are not allowed on castle grounds.

    Head up the stairs to the east and enter the large wooden double-doors.

    In the antechamber, approach Feste, the dwarf jester.

    Exit the throne room and return to the castle’s porch.

    Exit the castle grounds to speak with Ser Alvert and the duke’s chamberlain, Aldous. Aldous will now dispense royal orders (quests).
Tips
  • To pick up additional side-quests, leave the castle and return. Some members of the court will be more talkative.
  • If it is night-time, rest at the Gran Soren Union Inn until morning before returning to the castle to avoid being jailed.
  • After returning to the castle, head to the south-eastern corner of the antechamber to find Mirabelle, who has a quest from Aelinore to meet her in the gardens at night.
  • Explore the servants' mess hall north of the antechamber for lootable items and a chest.
  • Continue east down a tunnel from the servants' mess to find a larger mess hall with more loot and a chest.
  • Backtrack to the antechamber and explore a tunnel to the south.
  • In the chamber south of the antechamber, head east to find a perpendicular tunnel. Going north leads to the throne room, south to the southern grounds, and east to the treasury (locked and guarded).
  • In the square chamber south of the antechamber, find another tunnel in the south-western corner leading to the dungeons.
  • Talk to Ser Jakob in the dungeons.
  • In the room preceding the cells in the dungeons, find a square chest in the south-eastern corner behind some crates. This chest contains a Skeleton Key.
  • Return to the antechamber and proceed into the throne room (Audience Chamber).
