Exploring the Wilted Forest

To reach the Wilted Forest, head west from Gran Soren to the Ancient Quarry, then take the road north through a small gorge. The forest icon on your 'Area Map' indicates your arrival. This road runs west through the northern part of the forest and leads to a fordable river spot that connects to the Cursewood. You can find Crows along this road for Notice Board quests.

The Wilted Forest is generally safer during the day, with Deer being the primary threat. At night, Undead are prevalent throughout the forest, and up to six Ogres can appear in three distinct areas, two at a time.

Chests and warrior remains are scattered throughout the forest, but the chests typically contain materials like Cursed Carving rather than gear. Look for ore veins along cliffs and rocks.

North of the main road, near the forest's beginning, you'll find a campsite on the cliffs overlooking a depressed river. During the day, this campsite is occupied by Sulfur Saurians. At night, it becomes home to two Ogres. Be cautious, as Ogres become frenzied when damaged; try to defeat one before engaging the other too intensely.

Continue west, staying between the road to the south and the cliffs to the north. The landscape is hilly and rocky, offering apples and other plants. Loot chests as you go. The river winds southwest, restricting your movement.

You will eventually reach a point where the road meets the river. This rocky ford is populated by sun-bathing Sulfur Saurians. At night, the road here is infested with Undead and Undead Warriors.

Enter the river and follow it southwest to discover 'Prayer Falls', a common destination for escort requests. You cannot reach the waterfall itself due to the brine.

From Prayer Falls, head south onto a rocky beach and follow the cliffs south, then southeast, then east. This path terminates at a rocky ledge with a walled stone building.

North of this building, you'll find a ring of 'Loneflowers' surrounding a Cursed Carving. The flowers will respawn (be brought back to life at a checkpoint after death), but the Cursed Carving is unique. At night, two Ogres patrol this area; deal with them carefully.

Follow the ledge north and then east from the building to find a hill leading up to 'The Abbey'.

At night, Undead, Undead Warriors, and Stout Undead swarm outside the north of The Abbey. Inside, you'll find nuns. The church itself contains nothing of interest. A Riftstone is located in front of the church. A smaller building to the south serves as the nuns' quarters.

Crows are present within The Abbey, and a cemetery lies to the north and west. Undead may emerge from the cemetery grounds at night.

A square chest is located southwest of (behind) the church within The Abbey. It contains Bronze Gauntlets, a Cleansing Earring, a Common Archistaff, a Crimson Glare, and a Mahogany Cape.

If you completed 'Lost and Found', you will find Quina inside The Abbey, now a nun. Speak with her; she wishes to be promoted to the Grand Cathedral in Auldring and is seeking information about the Dragon.

Quina will initiate the quest 'Talent in Bloom (Part 1)', asking you to deliver a healing flower she cultivated. This quest is timed, as the flower will wilt.

Talk to Clarus, a nun in The Abbey with a quest marker, who will direct you to either the priest in Gran Soren or Cassardis to deliver the flower.
