This section of the Death Howl walkthrough covers the side content and achievements found within the Realm of Piercing Winds. This zone is divided into three areas: The Breathing Chasm, The Hidden Vale, and The Glacial Maw. Walkthrough
- 1The Breathing Chasm:
- Activate the first Sacred Grove to reveal the map.
- 2Reap or Weep Side Quest: Find the lost eyes of a large creature. The eyes are located in a hidden cave near the northwestern Sacred Grove. Loot the Bear Skull Totem along the way. After defeating enemies in the cave, return the eyes to the quest giver to receive the Opal Totem.
- 3Two-Headed Spear Hidden Side Quest: Find two Spear Head quest cards. The first is near the nest at the zone's entrance, and the second is below the northwestern Sacred Grove. Combine them in battle to form the Two-Headed Spear, then interact with an inscription rock to trigger an Elder Spirit encounter. Completing this grants three Teardrop upgrade points.
- 4The Hidden Vale:
- Activate the first Sacred Grove to reveal the map.
- 5The Laughing Face of Death Side Quest: Repeatedly rest at the Sacred Grove to interact with a Spirit that repeatedly jumps off a cliff.
Tips
- Save Death Howl currency to unlock cards and Teardrop upgrades. Consider grinding Death Howl before entering the zone.
- If a battle is too difficult, discard the quest card and fast travel out to return later when stronger.
