Guide to Store Location #9 in Dead Space 2. Learn how to bypass security, deal with Necromorphs, find items, and use the cargo lift to continue your escape.
Alright, so you've made it to Store Location #9. Before we push forward, let's check out what's available to buy. You'll see a list of items and their costs below. I'd recommend grabbing some Power Nodes if you have the credits – they're super useful for upgrading your gear later on. The new guns are fun to try out too, but make sure you have enough ammo!

- Force Gun: 11,000 Credits
- Ripper Blades (3 Pack): 1,350 Credits
- Plasma Energy (6 Pack): 1,200 Credits

Once you're done shopping, you'll notice the door ahead won't budge because you're not Howard. Remember that body on the bed? Yeah, it's as grim as it sounds, but you need to grab it and hold it in front of the scanner to open the door. Creepy, I know!
As you move into the next area, the facility's AI will try to trap you. Shoot the trap to break free and keep moving. There's a short hallway off to the side with some items and, conveniently, another Power Node hidden behind a trap. Be careful!
In the next room, a crawler will scuttle towards you. Take it out, then grab the loot nearby. Shortly after, you'll be trapped again, and this time, a few Necromorphs will join the party. If they get too close to the space window, they'll get sucked out – lucky for you! You can also shoot the red triangle on the wall to trigger the same effect. Once they're dealt with, you'll have a couple of smaller enemies to clean up.
Head into the small room ahead. You'll find some supplies and a text log called "Personal Log: Howard Phillips." After that, hack the nearby terminal to restore power to the small cargo lift. As you head back out, a crawler will pop out, followed by two Necromorphs – one directly in front and another to your right. Use your Stasis ability here; you can always refill it back in that room if needed.
Now, ride the elevator up. You might see a Necromorph miss you as you ascend, but don't get too comfortable. As you approach the work bench at the top, that same Necromorph will find its way up to meet you. Be ready!
