Proceed through the mission until you reach the Mt Tamblin – Mountain Path Save Point.

The Assault on Fort Tamblin mission follows shortly after. Your primary objective is to defeat all enemy groups within the fortress. The game tracks this in the top-left corner of the screen with green checkmarks.

If you attempt to leave and do not have all green checkmarks, return to the fortress and defeat any remaining enemy groups.

Enemy Groups and Locations:

Group 1: Automatically encountered. Mix of Wutai Privates and Wutai Sergeants. Use AP attacks after combos for increased damage.
Group 2: Go west beyond the watchtower. Two Foulanders. Use Blizzard, as indicated by their weakness symbol.
Group 3: Continue north up the corridor. One Foulander and two Wutai Privates.

Group 7: Return to the first watchtower and examine the front. Three Wutai Sergeants. Use Air Twister. (Easy to miss)
Group 8: Return to the first revolving wall and continue to find two chests. The second chest is empty but triggers a battle with three Wutai Privates and one Wutai Sergeant.
Group 9: Continue east. Two Foulanders. Use Blizzard.
Group 10: Continue under the arch (cannot interact with the revolving door from this side). Two Foulanders and two Wutai Privates. Focus on the Foulanders due to their Fire magic.
Group 11: Head toward the chest to the northwest. Two Foulanders.
Group 12: Use the revolving wall near the chest. Three Wutai Privates and one Wutai Sergeant.
Group 13: Head south and examine the watchtower. Two Foulanders and two Wutai Sergeants. Use Blizzard on Foulanders first.
Group 14: Go to the corridor east of the watchtower. When given the choice, select “Charge” to fight only one Wutai Sergeant.
Group 15: Go back and examine the last revolving door. Three Foulanders. Use Blizzard. (Easy to miss)
Group 16: Head to the exit of the area. Three Foulanders.

If all groups are defeated, Angeal will call to confirm you have occupied the fort.

After proceeding beyond the mission and defeating the boss, Lazard will provide rewards based on the number of enemy groups defeated:
