Level Up Fast in Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion

The level cap in Crisis Core Reunion is Level 99. While EXP gain is hidden and leveling up requires a 777 on the DMW (Digital Mind Wave), you can still accumulate EXP to gain multiple levels at once when the DMW aligns. This guide details the most efficient method to grind EXP.

Requirements for Fastest Leveling:

Reach at least Chapter 3.
Access to mission 8-6-4.
Good materia for quick enemy defeat, such as Blast Wave or Darkness.
(Optional but recommended) High-Level Status Ward materia to negate status effects.
(Optional but recommended) A Hell spell like Hell Thundaga or Hell Blizzaga, which, combined with Status Ward, acts like a Super Ribbon.
(Optional but recommended) As much HP as possible, potentially increased via HP Up materia fusion.
(Optional but recommended) A Wizard Bracelet or Dragon Armlet for elemental magic protection.

Unlocking Mission 8-6-4:

This mission becomes available as early as Chapter 3 after the Sephiroth cutscene in Mako Reactor 5. After the scene, approach the ladder to receive a suspicious mail, unlocking the Yuffie mission category starting with 8-4-1: Suspicious Mail 1. Complete all subsequent unlocking missions until you gain access to 8-6-4.

The Leveling Strategy:

Once in mission 8-6-4, run back and forth in the middle of the first two areas to trigger battles. Avoid the edges to prevent avoiding encounters. The primary target is the Scissor Chitin, which provides significant EXP. If other enemies spawn, escape and continue searching. The Scissor Chitin can use Electrocute, Tri-Thundaga, and Stop, making the recommended defensive materia and accessories crucial.

When Scissor Chitins appear, use Blast Wave for an instant defeat. Repeat this process. This consistent EXP gain can trigger the DMW to display a 777, potentially resulting in multiple level-ups simultaneously. Finish the mission, as the final fight also contains Scissor Chitins.
