Guide to Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion Mission 6-3-2, Desert Island Surprises. Learn how to unlock the mission, defeat the Pachyornis, and find precious items.
Walkthrough
- 1Unlock Mission 6-3-2 by completing the Looking for Items (M6-1) sub-category and then the first mission of the Zack, the Treasure Hunter (M6-2) sub-category. This mission can be unlocked as early as Chapter 2.
- 2Before proceeding to the boss in the southeast, open the three chests to obtain a Hi-Potion, Bronze Armlet, and a Mag Up+ Materia.
- 3Consider equipping accessories that protect against Stun, such as the Headband, Aegis Armlet, or any Chocobo Armlet.
- 4Engage the Pachyornis. Note that it is accompanied by another Pachyornis, and the battle arena is not large.
- 5Bait the Pachyornis into attacking by running around, then go in for your attack.
- 6Be aware of the Pachyornis's two main attacks: a simple peck combo that causes Zack to flinch and deals moderate damage, and a single, heavy-damaging peck that knocks Zack down and inflicts Stun.
- 7The heavy-damaging peck has no ability call-out and looks similar to a regular peck. This attack is particularly dangerous as it leaves Zack vulnerable to follow-up attacks from the other Pachyornis, potentially including the same Stun-inflicting peck.
- 8Utilize Stun resistance to avoid being repeatedly stunned and to survive the battle.
- 9Continue fighting and maneuvering to defeat both Pachyornis.
Tips
- Ensure you have Stun protection before the battle, as the Pachyornis frequently uses a Stun-inflicting attack.
- Accessories like the Headband, Aegis Armlet, and all Chocobo Armlet series accessories provide Stun protection.
- Baiting the Pachyornis into attacking and then counter-attacking can be an effective strategy due to the limited space.
- Powering up Zack through leveling and Materia will make the mission easier.
- Hi-Potion
- Bronze Armlet
- Mag Up+ Materia
