This category of missions is available as early as Chapter 3, although you’ll have to reach the Mako Reactor scene with Sephiroth to unlock Mission 8-4-1: Suspicious Mail 1 which can be found by approaching the nearby ladder. From there you’ll need to complete a long series of missions until you reach the Great Cavern of Wonders category.

  • Completing all missions is necessary for the Mission Completionist trophy/achievement.
  • For Mission 9-1-1, the map contains four chests with: Bronze Armlet, Fire Ring, Graviga, and Hypno Crown. Enemies include Demon, Mine, and Pachyornis. The boss is a Malboro, weak to Fire magic. Beware of its “Bad Breath” attack which inflicts status effects.
  • For Mission 9-1-2, the map contains four chests with: Diamond Gloves, Fat Chocobo Feather, Gysahl Greens, and MBarrier Materia. Enemies include Dark Nation, Hellhound, and Sky Armor. The boss is two Hellhounds and two Dark Nations; use jump attacks and roll to defeat them, as they can inflict instant death with “Death Fangs”.
  • For Mission 9-1-3, the map contains five chests with: Assault Twister, Barrier, Drainga, Lightning Ring, and Mountain Chocobo Armlet. Enemies include Dark Nation, G Baldor, and G Spartan. Equipping a Safety Bit is recommended to guard against instant death.
