Mission Walkthroughs

Mission 3-4-1: Regain Shinra’s Materia

Unlock: Complete M3-3-6.

This mission features a small map with a single chest containing an Elixir. Head east, hug the left wall to find the chest, then proceed to the boss.

Boss Battle: Two Shooter Machines and one Belzecue.

  • Prioritize defeating the Belzecue first due to its instant-kill Death Fangs attack.
  • The Shooter Machines can be problematic with their constant barrage of bullets. Try to get behind them and use Critical hits.
  • Recommended Materia: Costly Punch, Aerial Drain (for healing).

Mission 3-4-2: Powered-Up Copies

Unlock: Complete M3-4-1.

This small map has random encounters with G Prowlers, Metal Saucer IIIs, and Shooter Machines. Two chests contain a Hyper Wrist accessory and Dark Matter.

  • Start north, follow the path south, and turn east at the intersection for the first chest.
  • Continue south, then west to another intersection. Take the north path for the final chest.
  • Proceed to the far west room for the boss battle.

Boss Battle: Four G Prowlers.

  • They attack quickly, but Aerial Drain can be effective for damage and healing.

Mission 3-4-3: Reinforced Copies

Unlock: Complete M3-4-2.

This small map has two chests containing a Tri-Fire Materia and an Elemental Strike Materia.

  • Start east, follow the path west then north; the first chest is on your left.
  • Take the west path at the intersection and follow it to the end for the final chest.
  • Return to the intersection, head north then west, and finally south at the last intersection for the boss.
  • Random encounters include G Prowler, Metal Saucer III, and Spitfire.

Boss Battle: One G General and one Spitfire.

  • The G General buffs itself with Defense and uses Blitz or stuns you with Gunblade.
  • The Spitfire uses a damaging Spin attack.
  • Recommended: Equip an anti-stun accessory and a high-tier Thunder Spell to quickly defeat the Spitfire.
  • Costly Punch is effective against the G General. Be aware it can also cast Curaga.

Mission 3-4-4: Return to Midgar

Unlock: Complete M3-4-3.

This mission has two chests containing an X-Potion and a Vital Slash Materia.

  • Start in the center, head south to find the first chest.
  • Head east then north; the final chest is on your left in the long room.
  • Continue north to the boss area.
  • Enemies encountered: G Prowler, Hell Slasher, Metal Saucer III.

Boss Battle: One G Guardian and one G General.

  • Defeat the G General first as it can heal with Curaga and stun with Gunblade.
  • The G Guardian uses Lifeshaver (damaging and healing) and Death Scythe. It also has an Ability Charge attack called Tempest.
