Walkthrough
- 1Collect All DMW Images: There are 18 DMW Images to collect. Most are obtained through main story progression, while others require completing specific optional missions or fulfilling certain conditions. The table below lists each Image and its general location.
- 2Understand DMW Percentages: The percentage next to each Image in the DMW menu represents how many memories you have seen for that character.
- 3Unlock Memories: Certain story events must occur for memories to begin appearing. It is recommended to wait until Chapter 10, near the final Save Point, to ensure all possible memories are available.
- 4Grind Memories: The most efficient method involves using DMW Materia and a specific mission.
- 5Method 1 (Idle Grinding): Enter Mission 1-1-1, leave one enemy alive, and let the game run to passively accumulate memories. This is tedious but effective.
- 6Method 2 (Active Grinding): Equip the 'Lucky Stars' DMW Materia. Enter a battle and wait for 'Lucky Stars Level 5' to enter a 'Heavenly' Limit state, which greatly increases DMW chances. End the battle quickly. Then, equip multiple DMW Materia for the character you need to max. Re-enter Mission 1-1-1. If you see a new memory, save and repeat. If your state drops below 'High' (Sky High is acceptable), forfeit the battle to reset to 'Heavenly' and try again. This method requires constant attention but is faster.
