Learn about the Imperial (2) faction in Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3, including its commanders and co-commander actions. Master the Empire's forces!
The Empire of the Rising Sun in Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 is led by a few key figures, each with their own philosophies and specialties. Understanding them is key to mastering the faction.
Shinzo Nagama is a commander who believes in honorable tactics and adheres strictly to the bushido code. However, he'll do whatever it takes to secure victory for the Empire.
Kenji Tenzai is another loyalist to Japan, with a particular fondness for mech-units. It seems he's spent a bit too much time watching Transformer movies!
Naomi Shirada is the undisputed queen of the seas, excelling at building devastating naval fleets.
Following Naomi's departure, Takara Sato took the helm as the next Imperial Naval Commander. She combines her naval forces with her elite Shinobi Ninjas and Rocket Angels for a potent mix of air and sea power.
When you're playing with a Co-Op Commander, you'll notice a box in the top-left corner of your screen. This allows you to issue basic orders to your AI-controlled ally and their army:
- Take Position: This command sends all of the Commander's available units to a designated area.
- Attack Target: The Commander's forces will focus their assault on a specific target until it's completely eliminated.
- Plan Attack: The Commander will rally some of their units and send them to a specified area, engaging any enemies encountered along the way.
- Keep Command: This allows the Commander to act independently. It's also useful for canceling any other active commands.
Beyond these basic orders, there are other Co-Commander actions you can utilize. Keep an eye out for a "square" icon appearing on your radar – this indicates that a special action can be performed at that location. These miscellaneous commands can range from focusing attacks on a specific point to deploying an infiltrator, adding another layer of tactical depth to your gameplay.
