Complete walkthrough for Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3's 'A Monument of Madness' mission on Mount Rushmore. Includes primary and secondary objectives, tips, and strategies.
Walkthrough
- 1Begin by having Tanya eliminate the Attack Dogs near the Radar Tower. Avoid destroying the tower itself due to a nearby Turret.
- 2Proceed to the Power Plant in the north and clear out its patrolling Attack Dogs.
- 3Once the dogs are dealt with, have Warren send a Spy to infiltrate the Power Plant. This action enables Tanya to destroy the Turret and Peacekeepers.
- 4Destroy the Power Plant and instruct Warren to capture the Boot Camp.
- 5With the Turret neutralized, focus on the Com Tower. Have Tanya eliminate enemy guards and destroy the tower.
- 6Ackerman is heading to the fire base in his Limo. Your captured Boot Camp will be under Blue Control, while Warren secures the base to the east. Capture the nearby Oil Derrick.
- 7Since the Boot Camp is outside your Construction Yard's range, build a new Construction Yard next to it to produce advanced Infantry. Train numerous Spies from this new yard.
- 8Build a group of Century Bombers. Position your Spies near the Fire Base's Ore Refineries and collect any nearby Cash Crates.
- 9Ackerman will reach the first Control Centre. These centres must be captured after Ackerman arrives to prevent the heads from firing lasers. Use Century Bombers to deploy Engineers into the Centres. Be cautious of Ackerman's Apollo Fighters guarding his Limo; approach the Centres when he is distant. Have Spies deactivate power to ensure safe flight for the Century Bombers.
- 10Destroy the Turrets at the helipad between the Blue and Green bases using Vindicators.
- 11Use Spies to steal resources from Refineries or deactivate power in the northwest part of the base. Sabotaging the power allows Century Bombers to destroy parts of the Fire Base.
- 12With Mirage Tanks available, a mass attack can be effective when the power is out, disabling Spectrum Towers. Destroying all Power Plants will permanently shut down the base's power.
- 13After clearing Production Structures, destroy the Fire Base.
- 14The President will attempt to escape in his Limo towards a helipad. A helicopter will pick him up. Use Mirage Tanks to ambush the Limo or Apollo Fighters to shoot down the helicopter. Be aware that Javelin Soldiers will appear on the helipad when Ackerman boards his chopper; eliminate them with Attack Dogs or Tanya.
Alternate Strategy (Caael):
- Build an Airbase and upgrade to Heightened Clearance. Fill the Airbase with Apollo Fighters while researching.
- Build another Airbase with Vindicators and send them east to destroy two Turrets.
- Build 2-3 Cyrocopters and freeze the President's Limo. This removes the time limit.
- Position Apollo Fighters just in front of the Cyrocopters to intercept Ackerman's Apollo Fighters. Keep a distance to prevent debris from damaging the Limo.
- Build your own anti-air turrets (around 20) near your ally's territory to protect against enemy Fighters. Repair Fighters in your ally's Airbase.
- Build an Armour Facility, create an MCV, and place it near your base. Use the extra production tab to build Spectrum Towers for base defense.
- With the Limo frozen, you have ample time to harvest ore, build a large army, and destroy the enemy base.
- If the Limo is not frozen by the time it reaches the first control centre, upgrade to Maximum.
