    Upon entering the clocktower, take the bottom path. Drop down and enter the room on the left to find the Dragon Helm. Equip it if it's an upgrade.

    Explore this room for map coverage and items: Magic Missile, Karma Coin, Str. Potion, Luminus, Smart Potion. Then, proceed through the top right doorway.

    In the next room, deal with Medusa Heads. Proceed through the bottom left doorway.

    The following room contains Medusa Heads and Cloaked Knights. To counter the Medusa Heads' petrification effect, equip the bronze cuirass if needed. Attack the two gears on the walls until they click, then exit through the right entryway.

    In the next room, hit the gears on the sides of the wall. If all four are hit correctly, the gate at the top right will open, revealing a secret room with a Diamond, Life Apple, and Sunstone.

    After collecting the items, exit the secret room, drop to the bottom, and attack the destructible wall on the bottom left. Enter this new secret area, defeat the cloaked knight, and collect the Heart Max Up to its right and the Life Max Up to its left. Return to the main room with the gears.

    Proceed through the bottom right door. This area features Bomb Knights. The first Bomb Knight is near a moving spike platform; its bombs will not reach you.

    To find hidden items, take the upper path to the right. At a dead-end, a breakable wall leads to a new room containing the Moon Rod. This unique weapon has a special attack activated by specific button inputs, but the Dark Blade is generally recommended.

    Leave the Moon Rod room, drop to the floor, and return to the top of the room to access another section via a drop-off.

    In this new section, use the larger spike platform on the floor to reach a small alcove containing a Pot Roast. Once collected, proceed to the next room at the far bottom right.

    The next room is horizontal with no enemies but contains destructible walls with items. Find a TNT useable item behind the first pillar on the right. Above the broken staircase, a breakable wall hides a Bwaka knife. On the right side of the pillar at the end of the room, find a Shuriken.
