Guide to defeating Fake Trevor, Fake Sypha, and Fake Grant in Castlevania: Rondo of Blood. Learn their attack patterns and strategies to win.
Alright, so you're in the Colosseum, and you're about to run into some familiar faces – well, sort of. First up, you'll deal with a bunch of Werewolves. They can take a beating, so try to pull them away from the group if you can. Some will slide at you, others will jump and throw stuff. Keep an eye on the path above; we'll come back to it. For now, take the right path through these Werewolves.
You'll then enter a vertical room. Drop all the way down and head through the door on the right. In the next area, you'll find some Azaghal enemies. Look for a broken pillar; underneath it, you can break the floor or ceiling to find a secret room with a Fury Plate. Grab it, then leave and take the door on the right.
This next room is vertical too. Climb up and head right. You'll run into some Minotaurs. They hit hard, so give them some space. This room connects to the Royal Chapel area via a red door. But before we go there, we're going to explore a bit more to get the map coverage for the Colosseum.
See that path above the Minotaurs? We're taking that. In this vertical room, you'll see doors on the left and right, and something in the middle. That middle thing is a Stone Skull. The door on the right is a save room – definitely use it. We'll check out the left path later.
After saving, fly up and go into the room on the right. After a fight with a White Dragon, you'll find a Zircon. Now, head back out. You'll see the White Dragon again. Go left, away from it. This path leads to a single room where you'll find a Buffalo Star. Grab it and make sure you've got the map coverage for this side of the Colosseum.
Now, drop down from where you got the Buffalo Star and take the door directly below. It's packed with Werewolves and Minotaurs, so be ready. After that, jump to the section on the left on the same level. Keep going for a bit, and you'll find two Heart Max Ups and a Life Max Up. After snagging those, you'll face another White Dragon.
The room below the Dragon has another save point. Use it! Then, go past the White Dragon, head up, and enter the room on the top left. You'll find a measly Aquamarine in there. Leave that room, go back past the White Dragon, and head right to the end. There's a room with the Gram Sword. Once you have it, drop down from that doorway and take the door on the right. You're now at the boss fight.
FAKE TREVOR, FAKE SYPHA, AND FAKE GRANT
Okay, this fight is a bit like the Doppelgangers you might have fought. These three work together, and that's their main strength. Grant's up top, Sypha flies around trying to freeze you, and Trevor whips you or uses his cross sub-weapon while you're stuck. Grant will also throw daggers when you're frozen.
Strategy:
- Focus Sypha First: She's the one freezing you, so she's your priority. When she starts her freeze attack, back off and try to get some hits on Grant or Trevor. When she's not attacking, rush in and hit her hard.
- Dealing with Grant: Once Sypha is out of the way, Grant becomes much easier. You can often jump up and hit him directly. He'll fall, making him an easier target.
- Handling Trevor: Trevor's the trickiest because his whip has insane range, and his cross attack is no joke either. Keep your distance and try jumping over him to attack while you're in mid-air. It'll take patience to get close enough to damage him without getting hit.
After you finally take them down, you'll get a Life Max Up. Nice!
Once you've beaten the Fake Trio, leave the Colosseum and head back to Orlox’s Quarters. We've got more to do there!
