Walkthrough

    After defeating the King of Flowing Sands and his Son in Chapter 2, proceed to the Valley of Despair Shrine in Sandgate Village.

    Take the left path into a cave. After a short cutscene (a non-interactive cinematic the game plays automatically), you will face The First Prince of the Flowing Sands.

    Defeat The First Prince of the Flowing Sands. His attacks are telegraphed, allowing ample time to dodge, and he can be cornered easily.

    After the battle, locate the wall on the left side of the area where the boss was. You need to break a section of this wall.

Optional Loong Boss Locations:

With the Loong Scales, you can now access four optional bosses:

  • Red Loong: Travel to the Forest of Wolves - Outside the Forest Shrine in Black Wind Mountain (Chapter 1). Take the left path at the first fork and follow it to a waterfall. Interact with the waterfall to enter the Red Loong's dwelling. Rewards include Thunder Tail, Boshan Censer, Loong Pearl x1, Mind Core x1, and Silk x3.
  • Black Loong: Go to the Fright Cliff - Rockrest Flat Shrine in the Yellow Wind Ridge area (Chapter 2). Head up the stairs to the right of the Shrine to find a sand waterfall, which is the entrance to the Black Loong's lair. Rewards include Thunderbone, Tridacna Pendant, Loong Pearl x1, Refined Iron Sand x2, and Mind Core x1.
  • Cyan Loong: Progress to Chapter 3 and head to the Bitter Lake - Turtle Island Shrine. Turn around to face the cliff and walk towards it, then head left. A previously inactive statue will reanimate as the Cyan Loong. Rewards include Mountain-Shaking Claw, Breath of Fire, Loong Pearl x1, Fine Gold Thread x2, and Mind Core x1.
  • Yellow Loong: After defeating the other three Loongs, you can find the Yellow Loong in Chapter 4. The reward is the Golden Lining Transformation.
