Xu Dog's Medicine Making Quest

Find Xu Dog: Head to Yellow Wind Ridge and find the Sandgate Village, Village Entrance Shrine. From there, go forward and drop into the gap near the wooden bridge. Follow the cave to the right to find Xu Dog. He'll ask you to retrieve a stolen formula from a frog.

Defeat Lang-Li-Guhh-Baw: The frog boss is in a pool of water near Xu Dog. Before you fight, it's a good idea to stock up on Shock-Quelling Powder because the boss uses lightning attacks, and you'll be fighting in water. The boss has similar attacks to the Chapter 1 frog boss, but adds lightning-based attacks. The most dangerous are the lightning wisps that continuously target you and the lightning storm that calls down bolts around the arena. For the wisps, keep your distance and dodge just as they're about to hit you. For the storm, keep moving and dodging around the arena. Stick to light attack combos and only use heavy attacks when the boss is stunned or immobilized to avoid taking unnecessary damage.

Return to Xu Dog: After defeating Lang-Li-Guhh-Baw, return to Xu Dog. Exhaust his dialogue, and he'll disappear after your next rest at a Shrine.

Find Xu Dog Again: You'll encounter Xu Dog again at the Cellar Shrine in the Crouching Tiger Temple. You can only reach this area after defeating the Stone Vanguard boss in Fright Cliff and obtaining the Sterness of Stone Key Item.

Unlock Celestial Pills: At the Crouching Tiger Temple, defeat the boss at the top, then place the Sterness of Stone Key Item on the pedestal to reveal a hidden cellar entrance. Navigate the cellar, defeat the enemies, and reach the Cellar Shrine. From the Shrine, take the right path to find Xu Dog. He will allow you to craft Celestial Pills at his furnace. These pills permanently boost your chosen attribute (health, defense, mana, etc.) using Mind Cores.

Quest Reward: Speak to Xu Dog again and select "Talk" to receive a Mind Core as a reward. The main reward, however, is the ability to craft these powerful Celestial Pills.
