Walkthrough
- 1In Chapter 2, travel to the Fright Cliff, Squall Hideout Shrine. Head northeast to an open area and defeat the Rat Archers.
- 2Drop down into a ravine and follow the path to the end to find the Man in Stone. Exhaust his dialogue.
- 3Fast travel to the Rockrest Flat Shrine and backtrack into the cave. Take the slope up to the right to find the Mother of Stones Boss.
- 4Focus your attacks on the Mother of Stones. While it has no attacks and cannot move, it will summon adds. Killing the boss also kills the adds. If overwhelmed, clear some adds to make it easier.
- 5Upon defeating the Mother of Stones, you will be rewarded with the Stone Essence.
- 6Return to the Man in Stone and deliver the Stone Essence. He will attempt to keep it for himself.
- 7Attack the Man in Stone. Keep moving and manage your health to defeat him.
- 8After defeating the Man in Stone, use the Incense Trail Talisman to reload the area.
- 9Return to the Man in Stone's location to find his store is now accessible.

- The Mother of Stones boss has no attacks and cannot move, but beware of the adds she summons. Prioritize damaging the boss.
