    To begin the Chen Loong and the Ruyi Scroll quest, reach Chapter 3 and proceed to the North Shore of the Bitter Lake Shrine.

    Head left from the Shrine to find Chen Loong in the water.

    Engage Chen Loong in an optional battle. He uses Shock-based attacks like Swipe, Shock Orbs, and Lightning Bolts.

    When Chen Loong is at half HP, he will use a Lightning Beam followed by a Thunder Dash. Dodge these attacks.

    When near defeat, Chen Loong will use a wide-area tail attack; move away to avoid it.

    Use Shock resistance medicine and consider using Immobilize or A Pluck of Many. If fighting him early, leverage your boar ally.

    After defeating Chen Loong, he will mention needing a Resurrection Pill from Xu Dog.

    If you've completed Xu Dog's Medicine Making Quest, travel to the Crouching Tiger Temple - Cellar Shrine.

    Speak to Xu Dog and choose the "Talk" option to receive the Fortifying Medicament Formula and the Special-made Bone-Strengthening Pellet.

    Return to Chen Loong's location (he will now be standing by a nearby house) and hand over the pill.

    Chen Loong will give you the Ruyi Scroll, which transports you to the Painted Realm.

Zodiac Village Features:

  1. Upon arriving in Zodiac Village, you'll find it's a hub area with no enemies.
  2. Xu Dog and Shen Monkey have relocated their services here.
  3. Find Chen Loong up the stairs. You can now Deliver Seeds to him, which he will plant for you to harvest later.
  4. Xu Dog offers free medicine over time via the Request Medicine option.
  5. The Yin Tiger, located at the back of the Village, acts as a blacksmith for crafting and upgrading armor and weapons. Upgrading is expensive but useful later.
  6. Challenge the Yin Tiger to a battle. If you win, you unlock the Ebon Flow Transformation and Achievements for reaching Zodiac Village and harvesting for the first time.
