Thrown to the Dogs Quest Walkthrough

Find Tsuki-maru: Start by tracking the 'Thrown to the Dogs' quest. Head towards the area highlighted on your map, which is south of the Katano Oil Trading area and near Tennoji Temple. You'll pass through a large open field, but the dog isn't immediately visible there. Instead, move closer to Tennoji Temple and take the path to the left. Follow the cherry blossoms until you reach an overlook point above the initial field. Here, you'll find Tsuki-maru, the dog, mourning at his owner Ichiro's grave. He's injured, so approach and pet him.

Follow the Dog to the Farm: After interacting with Tsuki-maru, he'll lead you to a nearby farm.

Interact with Takako: At the farm, you'll meet Takako, Ichiro's sister-in-law. She explains that Ichiro gave the dog a key to his estate before he died. She and her guards took the key from the dog, and it seems they weren't gentle, judging by Tsuki-maru's injuries.

Dialogue Choice: You'll be presented with two dialogue options. Choose the one that tells Takako to leave the dog alone. She'll then state that the estate key is yours if you can find it, and she'll flee.

Locate the Key: Tsuki-maru will now help you sniff out the key. You'll need to dig up a few less valuable items first. Look for a gap under the floorboards of a building on the farm. Use your 'view' option to spot it, then go prone and crawl underneath to find the key.

Unlock the Burial Box: Take the key back to Ichiro's burial site. You'll find a box there. Use the key to unlock it.

Claim Your Reward: Inside the box, you'll find Ichiro's letter, which reveals that his brother and sister-in-law were responsible for his death. You'll receive 1000XP, and Tsuki-maru will head to your homestead to recover, eventually serving as your guard dog.
