Alright, so you've picked up the Butterfly Collector quest in Assassin's Creed Shadows? It's a bit of a scavenger hunt, but totally doable. You'll be looking for these origami butterflies scattered around the Temple of Osaka area, which is southwest of where you first met the questgiver. If you've got the quest active, just use your Observe ability (that's L2/LT) and you'll see blue dots marking their locations. They're all on trees, so keep an eye out!

The cool thing is, you can grab these in any order you like. As you collect them, you'll start to realize they're actually coded messages for kidnappers. Pretty neat, right?

All Origami Butterflies Locations

Here’s the breakdown of where to find all ten butterflies:

1. Location 1: Head to the Osaka Kakurega and take its eastern exit. Instead of crossing the bridge right there, follow the dirt road south. When it curves, look south – you'll spot a tree with a white butterfly on it.
2. Location 2: Go to the main Temple of Osaka building and make your way to the northern side. There's a big tree there with a red butterfly.
3. Location 3: Still in the same general area, find the small shrine southwest of the Temple (the one that gives you a temporary buff). Behind it, there's a tree with a blue butterfly (looks white up close).
4. Location 4: This one's near the Fisherman’s District. Don't go inside the restricted area, just look at your map. Go directly east of the district's name on the map. You'll see a lone tree by the river, between two buildings, with an orange butterfly.
5. Location 5: Southwest of the Fisherman’s District, before you cross the southern bridge. It’s on the tree behind the horse stable. If you found a letter about an escaped girl, it's right behind where you found her.
6. Location 6: West of this part of Osaka is a large island. Head to the Kojo Ruins on the southern end. Find the southern bridge, but don't cross it. Follow the road north along the coast until you find a tree surrounded by bushes. The butterfly is on this tree, but it's a bit hidden.
7. Location 7: A little north of the Osaka Kakurega, there's a bridge going east. Cross it, and immediately turn north. You'll see a tree with a butterfly.
8. Location 8: Keep going northeast from the bridge in the last step until you reach the second building on your right. Go inside, then through the sliding doors to the backyard. There's a tree back there with a butterfly.
9. Location 9: Go back across the bridge from location #8. Follow the road north to the third bridge. Head southwest from there, past some scaffolding, until you find an opening to your south. Go to the back of this small open area to find the butterfly on a tree.
10. Location 10: Return to the bridge from #9 and cross it to the east. Follow the path along the coastline to the north. At the very end, you'll see the butterfly on a tree.
