Tomiko: Way Of The Blacksmith Quest Walkthrough

After completing the main quest From Spark to Flame, the 'Way of the Blacksmith' quest will appear under 'The League' and 'Tomoki' in your Objectives tab.

Acquire a scout (by completing Finding New Allies if you don't have one).

Instruct the scout to investigate Sakai, located southwest of the Hideout. Have them cover the area north of the 'Sakai' text on the map to receive an objective marker.

Travel to Sakai and enter the search area. Heiji, the blacksmith, is located in a courtyard surrounded by buildings.

To find him from the Sakai Kakurega: Exit via the northern door, turn left (west) and past a wagon to a four-way intersection. Turn right (north), continue until you see a building with a large opening to the west, marked by three soldiers on a platform.

Enter this building, go through doors to the west, and once outside, turn left (south) to find Heiji.

Heiji will be accosted by thugs. You can fight them directly or climb to the roof of the building for a stealthier approach. Use kunai or assassinate targets to thin their numbers before engaging the rest.

After defeating the thugs, talk to Heiji. He will agree to join your cause and head to the Hideout. Loot any nearby stone.

Return to the Hideout.

Enter build mode, select the Forge, and expend 40x crops, 30x wood, and 10x stone to build it. Place it in a convenient location.

Once the Forge is built, the quest will conclude. Talk to Heiji at the Forge to utilize his services for upgrading, dismantling, and engraving gear.
