Dungeon 11: Ice Ruins

As soon as Dharkstare appears, blast it with the Fire Rod. This will shrink its ice barrier, causing it to hover away quickly.

Give chase along the slippery arena. When Dharkstare fires its three frozen eyes to surround you in a triangle pattern, run out of the way or use the Tornado Rod to dodge the attack and avoid getting frozen.

After attacking, the boss pauses. This is your chance to hit it with the Fire Rod again.

Once Dharkstare has taken a few blasts, its ice casing will completely vanish. It will then slowly hop around the area, vulnerable to your sword or other attacks. Chase it down and give it a good pounding!

The boss will then regather its ice casing and gain three more frozen eyes. Its triangle attack will become larger and harder to avoid. It will also shoot all six eyes a short distance ahead; keep your distance or block with your shield.

Continue using the same strategy: aim the Fire Rod after the boss performs its triangle attack. The Tornado Rod becomes even more crucial here for evading due to the increased range of its attacks.

After melting the ice and pummeling the boss a second time, it will move faster and its eyeball attack will have increased distance, but it still succumbs to the same tactics.

Once Dharkstare melts into oblivion, grab the Heart Container and head across the new platform ahead to obtain Rosso’s Painting.
