Dungeon 12: Lorule Castle: 12

From the big chest on Floor 3F, merge into the wall below and walk left. At the first corner, emerge to drop down to a high platform on Floor 2F. Merge into the wall below and walk right. Emerge at the end to find a door leading left (to 2F west). Enter to find a pool of fairies.

Return to the central room (2F south) and drop down to the first floor. From 1F south, return to the warp zone to transport to Floor 3F, before the big door.

There are four doors ahead; you must complete the challenges in all four to progress. The first room requires bombs. Step on the raised floor tile below the door to open it.

Inside, head all the way up and hit the first round switch. Head left to find a locked door. Notice the giant cracked rock to the left, which will require a big bomb later.

Place a bomb on the first round switch and return left, across the lowered barrier. Head down, avoiding the fire-shooting smiley face. Set a bomb and throw it left, across the colored barrier, to trigger the next round switch.

Go left and plant a bomb on the round switch, then head down to stand on the lowered barrier. Once the bomb triggers the switch, you will be raised up.

Head down to a square pillar. Stand on the barrier to the right and throw a bomb right to get up. Open the chest at the end for 20 rupees.

Hit the round switch again to lower the red barrier. Plant a bomb next to the round switch and run left to stand on the lowered barrier on the far side. Go down to the big bomb flower. Set a bomb and throw it right, over the barrier, to ignite the big bomb flower. This will blow up the giant cracked rock behind it.

Merge into the red barrier to the right and walk left to reach the big bomb flower. Strike the round switch at the end to the right to lower the red barrier. Go up to the big bomb and lead it with A. Lead the big bomb to the giant cracked rock near the top of the room.

Head left, then up at the corner. At the end, throw a bomb left to dispose of the Lorule soldier.

Throw a bomb ahead to trigger the round switch, lowering the blue platforms. Go right, then stop in front of the red barrier. Throw a bomb ahead to defeat the Lorule soldier. Return left and throw another bomb at the round switch. Before the bomb detonates, return right, past the lowered blue barrier.

Go up, then left, next to the round switch. A smiley face shooting ice and a Lorule soldier are ahead. Throw bombs over the barrier to kill the soldier.

Plant a bomb on the nearby round switch, then run right. Once the switch is activated, the way ahead will be clear. Head up and hide near the top. The smiley face shoots ice, but it hits a jutting wall. When the smiley face shoots ice, go right and freeze it with the Ice Rod to immobilize it.

With no more threats, proceed right and set off the big bomb in front of the giant cracked rock at the end. Merge into the wall to avoid the explosion. The rock is now gone, allowing you to reach the chest containing a Small Key.

Use the Small Key to open the locked door ahead. Drop down right and pass through the locked door to 2F north-west.

Defeat the purple Moldorm boss. The boss room is small and the walls will move in. Use the Hammer to stun Moldorm, or rain bombs from your vantage point, especially when the walls close in.

After defeating Moldorm, a red warp tile will appear. Step on it to return to Floor 3F. One of the four corners of the big door will light up.

Proceed to the right-hand door on Floor 3F. Step on the raised floor tile in front of the door to open it.

Inside, you will find gargoyle statues, a smiley face block shooting ice, and lava. Make your way up and towards the very end where the platform juts out.

A platform will emerge from the lava to the right, allowing you to cross. More platforms will emerge ahead.
