Druids in World of Warcraft possess the unique ability to shapeshift into various animal forms, which determine their available abilities. For the most part, a Druid can perform any role: rogue, tank, mage, or healer. By choosing talents down a specific path, a Druid can become almost the equal of a dedicated class for that role.

In groups, Druids, like other hybrid classes, can step in to replace a fallen group member. Druids can only wear cloth or leather armor, but their different forms offer access to different statistics and rely on different stats for effectiveness.

You can level as a cat form, which may allow you to easily serve as a tank later in the game.
