Alright, let's talk about the Vault of Archavon! This raid is located in Wintergrasp, but you'll need to control the zone to get in. It's a bit of a flexible raid, meaning you can go in for just one boss or try to clear all three. Keep in mind that finding a group that *only* wants to do Archavon can be tricky, so most groups aim for the full clear these days.

Archavon

This fight is pretty straightforward, but everyone needs to be aware of their positioning. The main mechanic revolves around clouds that Archavon spawns.

• Where: The main platform.
• What: Archavon will spawn clouds on the ground.
• What to do: The tank needs to ensure Archavon's backside is moved out of any spawned clouds. Anyone standing in a cloud when it activates will die. So, if you're in a cloud, move out immediately!
• Why this way: Standing in the clouds is an instant death mechanic.

Honestly, it's mostly a DPS race against his enrage timer, which is around six minutes. So, don't hold back on your cooldowns – use them early, mid, and late in the fight!

Emalon

Ranged players and healers need to spread out, staying at least 10 yards apart, because Emalon's Chain Lightning spell gets stronger with each jump between players.
• Why this way: Spreading out prevents Chain Lightning from wiping the raid. Focusing DPS on Emalon is key to beating the enrage timer.

At some point, Emalon will cast Lightning Nova. If anyone is within 20 yards of him when this happens, they'll take a massive hit – essentially an instant kill if you have 15,000 health or less. All melee players need to back away quickly or use a magic-resist ability like Cloak of Shadows.

After the Nova, Emalon enrages one of the adds. This add will grow significantly and start stacking a buff. You have about 10 seconds from when the buff hits 10 stacks before your raid wipes, meaning every DPS player needs to burn this add down as fast as possible.

Koralon

• Why this way: Standing in the fire deals damage over time, and Koralon's stacking debuff acts as a soft enrage, meaning high DPS is needed to end the fight before it becomes unmanageable. Splitting the cleave reduces damage taken by the tanks.

Koralon applies a stacking debuff that acts as a soft enrage. This means your DPS needs to be quite high to finish the fight before the debuff stacks become too dangerous. Having a second tank to help manage the frontal cleave is also beneficial, allowing the tanks to swap positions or split the damage.
