Master the Pit of Saron dungeon in World of Warcraft: Midnight. Learn boss strategies for Garfrost, Krick and Ick, and Tyrannus.
Walkthrough
- 1The trash pulls before the cave are the hardest part; consider using crowd control (CC) on one of the casters.
- 2Inside the cave, group all enemies in the middle, defeat them, and repeat this process to reach the end. You will stop twice to burn enemies.
- 3Garfrost: Burn him and his accompanying trash. Hide behind saronite when he stuns you. If your healer is competent, you can focus solely on burning him down. Ensure only the tank is in front of Garfrost to avoid his chilling wave conal attack.
- 4Krick and Ick: This encounter is considered a mini-raid and is the hardest heroic boss to date. Clear the trash before engaging the boss. Stay out of the acid pools. Run away when Krick or Ick targets you. During the Nova cast, move 15 yards away. For the Barrage attack, run in a circle to avoid the ground explosions. Otherwise, it's a straightforward tank and spank encounter.
- 5Tyrannus: Do not use any abilities or cooldowns while he is speaking. The tank will need to kite him when he enrages by utilizing the ice slicks on the ground. Hold back your damage per second (DPS) when Tyrannus links to a player. When the dragon targets you for an ice attack, run away from everyone else to avoid hitting them with the attack.
Tips
- The trash pulls outside the cave are the most difficult; CCing a caster can help manage them.
- Focus on burning enemies down quickly in groups within the cave.
- Positioning is key for avoiding Garfrost's chilling wave and Tyrannus's dragon ice attack.
- Be prepared for Krick and Ick's mechanics, especially the acid and area-of-effect (AoE) attacks.
