Learn about the Mage specialization in World of Warcraft: Midnight, focusing on burst damage, portal creation, and cloth armor.

Mages specialize in what is called "burst" damage, or "nuking," meaning you cast a spell for one big hit, rather than getting the same damage out of a ton of hits. They provide only weak elements of protection, with turning enemies into sheep being the main defense. You can also create portals for fast travel among cities. Focus on intellect, spirit, stamina, and anything involving spells. You can only wear cloth armor, so if an enemy gets in your face you are most likely going to die unless you have the abilities to escape.

If you know how to use your abilities, a mage should be your first and best choice for a character (toon). Everyone should have a mage.
