Alright, let's talk about Nexus-King Salhadaar. He's not exactly the main villain, but he's a pretty significant figure you'll encounter, especially as _Midnight_ rolls around. Think of him as a fallen king who's really leaned into the whole 'Void' thing. ### The Doom of K'aresh So, Salhadaar used to be the king of K'aresh, a world that got totally wrecked by the Void. He led the survivors, who became the Ethereal, through the Twisting Nether. Publicly, he said he was going after Dimensius the All-Devouring for revenge, but plot twist: he actually wanted to bring Dimensius back! To do this, he created the Shadowguard and basically brainwashed a bunch of Ethereals into becoming Void worshippers. ### The War Within He pops up again in _The War Within_, all remade by the Void. He's commanding the Shadowguard and making them do terrible things, like ordering the killing of the Ravel. You'll actually fight him as a boss in the _Manaforge Omega_ raid. When you beat him, it's not the end. Xal'atath swoops in and absorbs what's left of him, calling him a 'loyal, tractable servant.' ### Midnight And guess what? He's back for _Midnight_! He's going to be another boss you'll face, this time in the _Voidspire_ raid. Keep an eye out for him! ### Powers and Abilities * Void Ethereal Physiology: He's got the standard Void ethereal stuff going on. * Arcane and Void Magic Mastery: Being an Ethereal, he's good with arcane magic, and being corrupted by the Void, he's got that too. * Command of Royal Voidwing: He rides a void dragon named Voidwing into battle. Watch out for that! * Teleportation: He can create Void portals to get around or escape. * Command of Ethereal Army: He leads a whole army of Void-affiliated Ethereals.
