Master Arm Wrestling, Dice Poker, and Fistfighting in The Witcher 2. Win matches to earn Orens and unlock the Gambler achievement.

The Witcher 2 features several mini-games, including arm wrestling, dice poker, and fistfighting, which offer opportunities for Orens, experience, and achievements. Mastering these games can provide a significant advantage, especially when aiming for 100% completion. Many of these activities can be found in locations like the Flotsam Inn.

You can find all three mini-games at the Flotsam Inn. On the upper floor, arm wrestling is available. In the basement, you can find dice poker players and a fistfight arena. Winning one of each mini-game will unlock the Gambler achievement.

  • Arm Wrestling: Place your bet, then move the cursor left or right to keep it within the yellow lines. This maintains Geralt's focus and allows him to overpower his opponent.
  • Dice Poker: Place your bet and aim to roll a better set with five dice than your opponent. Roll the dice gently with the Right Analog Stick; if any dice fall off the table, they cannot be used. You get two rolls. After the first roll, choose which dice to re-roll.
  • Fistfighting: During the "FREE YOURSELF" or "PROVOKE" prison cell sequence, you can fistfight guards. If you won dice poker and arm wrestling earlier, beating the guards here will unlock an achievement.

For the Poker! achievement, you need to roll five-of-a-kind in dice poker. This is best attempted in the Prologue against the soldier in the camp, as he will never resign, allowing for multiple re-rolls. This is purely luck-based; it may take many attempts. Make a save before attempting this achievement. If you lose, reload; if you win, save your game to keep the winnings.

For the She-Troll's Head, essential for the best Chapter 1 armor set, you must beat Sendler in Dice Poker. Do not play Sendler until you are completing the Troll Trouble Quest. If you beat him early, you won't be able to play him for the head. After beating him, ask for something other than coin to claim the head. You will need to have beaten the other players at the Flotsam Inn first.

When engaging in fistfight, dice poker, or arm wrestling quests, always go for maximum stakes. Quicksave before starting to reload if you lose.
