Optional Boss: Queen Slime

Learn how to summon and defeat the optional Queen Slime boss in Terraria. Includes stats, phases, strategies, and all her unique drops like the Gelatinous Pillion and Hook of Dissonance.

The Queen Slime is an optional boss in Terraria that can be summoned in the Hallow biome. She is relatively easy and can be fought before mechanical bosses. A multi-level platform arena is recommended, built in the Hallow or created with at least 125 Pearlstone blocks. While she must be summoned in the Hallow, the fight itself does not need to occur there.

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Queen Slime: HP 18,000/28,800 | Damage 60/120 | Defense 26/26
• Crystal Slime: HP 150/225 | Damage 40/80 | Defense 35/35
• Heavenly Slime: HP 120/180 | Damage 50/100 | Defense 30/30
• Bouncy Slime: HP 150/225 | Damage 40/80 | Defense 35/35

Phases:

1. Phase 1: The Queen Slime bounces and uses two main attacks. The first is Regal Gel Shot, firing 6 bouncing projectiles. The second is a diagonal jump attack with a fade effect, which can be avoided by jumping.
2. Phase 2 (at 50% HP): She begins to fly at high speed. Her main attack is Omnidirectional Regal Gel, firing projectiles in 10 directions. She will also attempt to stomp the player if close enough.

Strategy:

• Keep your distance and focus damage on the Queen Slime.
• Alternate attacks between the Queen Slime and the smaller slimes she summons, as these minions can be a significant threat.
• In Expert Mode, Queen Slime has no AI changes, only stat increases.

Drops:

• Normal Mode: Coins (6g), Sparkle Slime Balloon (100%, 25-75), Gelatinous Pillion (25%), Hook of Dissonance (33.33%), Greater Healing Potion (100%, 5-15), Queen Slime Mask (14.29%), Queen Slime Trophy (10%).
• Expert Mode: Volatile Gelatin (100%), Coins (15g).
• Master Mode: Royal Delicacy (25%), Queen Slime Relic (100%).

Unique Item Effects:

• Gelatinous Pillion: A mount with ~2 seconds of flight time, similar to the King Slime mount. Flight time can be enhanced with items like Bottles or Rocket Boots.
• Hook of Dissonance: A grappling hook that teleports the player to the hooked location. It has difficulty with small gaps but can be useful for escaping bad situations as it doesn't pull through enemies.
• Volatile Gelatin: An accessory that fires a bouncing projectile similar to Regal Gel every second, dealing 60 damage and piercing up to 3 enemies. Useful for passive protection.
• Crystal Assassin Armor: Provides 36 defense, +15% damage, +15% crit chance, and +25% movement speed. It's an upgrade to the King Slime set and allows for effective dual/multi-classing due to its balanced stats, though summoners benefit less.
