1. This boss is a significant step up from its previous iterations. Its physical attacks can deal 150+ damage when guarding and over 500 damage when not. Its spells are even more dangerous and can quickly wipe out your party.

Strategy:

• Party Setup: The recommended party levels are around Lloyd 64, Raine 64, Genis 63, and Zelos 63.
• Genis' Spells: Deactivate all of Genis' spells except for Explosion, Cyclone, Ground Dasher, Indignation, Gravity Well, and Force Field.
• Zelos' Spells: Deactivate everything for Zelos except for Guardian, First Aid, Healing Stream, and Healing Wind. This helps prevent him from getting too close to the boss.
• Party Strategy (Strat Sub-menu):
  • Genis: Attack Freely, At Once, Don't Pursue
  • Raine: Attack Freely, Heal, Don't Pursue
  • Zelos: Attack Freely, Heal, Skills and Magic (to keep him from approaching too much)
• Dealing with Indignation: Sword Dancer's most powerful spell is Indignation. When you see "Indignation" appear on the screen and Genis isn't casting it, immediately run out of the affected area. Try to cancel his Indignation with a Unison Attack.
• Unison Attacks: Use combinations like Sword Rain: Beta, Ray, Lightning Blade, and Ground Dasher. This can unleash Prism Stars, a powerful attack combining Raine's Ray and Genis' Ground Dasher.
• Item Usage: During the battle, you might need items like Lemon Gels (around 3), Pineapple Gels (around 8), Life Bottles (around 9), Energy Tablets (1), and Spirit Bottles (1).
• General Approach: This fight is tough, but manageable with the right preparation and strategy. Focus on healing and interrupting the boss's most dangerous spells.
