Phases:

1. Phase 1: The Summon Spirit Battle

   Gnome fights like other summon spirits you've encountered. The main goal here is to fill your Unison Attack gauge as quickly as possible. Since Gnome is a large target, it's relatively easy to land combos on it, which will help build that gauge faster.

Strategy:

• Unison Attacks are Key: As soon as your Unison Attack bar fills up, unleash it. These attacks deal significant damage and can stagger Gnome, giving you more opportunities to attack.
• Watch for Ground Dasher: Gnome has a devastating spell called Ground Dasher. When you see it casting this, immediately start running and jumping to avoid the attack. It's a wide-reaching ground-based spell, so evasion is crucial.
• Other Attacks: Be aware of Stalagmite, another Earth-based attack, and Body Slam. For Body Slam, you'll need to press the [X] Button repeatedly in mid-air to recover and avoid taking full damage.
• General Approach: Treat this fight similarly to how you handled Efreet. The core strategy revolves around consistent offense and skillful evasion of its most dangerous spells.

After the Battle:

Once you defeat Gnome, a scene will play where Sylph appears, severing the mana flow. This is important for progressing the story, especially if you have Sylph in your party. After the scene, Sheena will learn the techs 'T. Seal: Earth' and 'Summon: Earth'. You'll also receive the 'Ruby' item. After this, exit the Temple of Earth and prepare to head to Flanoir.
